Nick Bell
Job Title Public Relations & Public Affairs Consultant
Role – explain what you do at Strategic Planning As a member of Strategic Planning's lobbying team, I am involved in the execution of the public and political consultation as well as the media management on all our major projects.
Brief background on your career and qualifications I hold a First Class BSc Honours degree in Communication Studies and an MSc in Communication, Advertising and Public Relations, both of which were obtained from the University of Ulster.
I began my PR and Communications career in the Corporate Communications Unit in Water Service/Northern Ireland Water where I gained extensive experience in Public Relations, Internal Communications, Event Management and the Press Office.
In 2006, I moved across to the private sector and joined Strategic Planning.
What do you do outside of work - hobbies, interests etc Outside of work I enjoy travelling, current affairs, extreme sports, electronic music, fashion and art. I also love to cook and watch a good movie.
Family life – are you married, children, pets? My girlfriend is an animal lover so we have a cat called Tiffany and a dog called Pee Pee.
If you could have any job in the world for a day what would it be and why? If I could step into someone else's shoes for the day it would have to be those of my local MP, I believe it would be challenging and very fulfilling to be able to use ones position of authority to help a variety of constituents with a diverse range of problems. |
