Receptionist and Administration
Role – explain what you do at Strategic Planning
I am the main point of contact in the office, taking care of the telephone calls and working on the administration side of the business. I also work on the accounts systems with Carolynn. My job can vary day to day which I enjoy and it involves working with people from all levels throughout the organisation to help them with their daily tasks.
I am also responsible as the QA Manager for Strategic Planning’s certification in ISO 9001:2008.
Brief background on your career and qualifications
I hold a BSc Hons Social Psychology which I obtained from the University of Ulster in 2002. Since qualifying I have worked as a Customer Service Officer for the Ulster Bank and a Credit Controller before joining the team at Strategic Planning.
What do you do outside of work - hobbies, interests etc
Outside of work I love to go out and socialise with my friends however I also enjoy a takeaway and a bottle of wine relaxing at home just as much. When I have the time I go walking and I also go to the gym to body combat classes.
Family life – are you married, children, pets?
I am married and at the moment have no children, although we would both love to start a family in the future. We do have a cat in the meantime called Stella who keeps us entertained with her doglike behaviour and constant mischief.
If you could have any job in the world for a day what would it be and why?
When I was younger I was a keen horse rider and always dreamed of being a professional show jumper. Although I am not horse riding as much anymore I still think if I had the chance I would like to be a professional for the day to see what was really involved and to do something that would be a hobby whilst getting paid for it!
